Job description
• Support the spokesperson in handling media relations, including preparing responses to press enquiries, coordinating interviews, monitoring deadlines and ensuring consistency of messages. • Draft media lines, press releases, Q&As and other external communication materials. • Liaise with colleagues to publish news and social media posts. • Prepare background material, contribute to briefings, speeches and communication packages for events, meetings, visits, campaigns and high-level engagements involving ED or the spokesperson. • Coordinate message clearance and support the quality control of communication outputs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, timeliness and compliance. • Maintain media contact lists, manage mailings and mailboxes and contribute to the further development of relevant tools. • Maintain media and communication tracking via external parties, support reporting on press and outreach activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of media handling processes. • Manage subscription accesses of ELA staff, liaise with providers, monitor and report on usage. • Collect ELA newsletter inputs and manage the newsletter publishing. • Any other tasks assigned by the Spokesperson.

Personality requirements and skills
Ability to manage efficiently multiple media contacts and events in several countries simultaneously. French and English on communicative level plus one more EU/EEA language at C2 level. Minimum 3 years in a press office, journalistic, communications or other similar field preferably in an international, multilingual environment.
