Job description
Support Engineer provides remote support supports and their satellites communication systems on board vessels sailing out on the sea all over the world. The Support Engineer helps customers to use their internet connection and related services by providing the following activities: • Customer support via phone and e-mails • Communication with vessels crew members, field engineers, 3rd party network operation centers • Technical support for communication products • Remote service testing and activation • Analyzing data records • Internal network monitoring • Internal databases updating Work is performed in the morning and afternoon shifts (9:00 - 17:00 during wintertime or 10:00 - 18:00 during summertime) from Monday to Sunday, i.e. 40 hrs/week, with 1 or 2 weekends in a month max, then two days for rest can be taken off in the following week. Work during weekends is compensated by 50% in addition on Saturday and 100% in addition on Sunday and holiday.
