Accountant/ Financial analyst
Job description
We are seeking a highly analytical, meticulous and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to become a member of its FOAA (Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis) EMEA team based in Bratislava. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with accounting and reporting teams across EMEA to ensure high quality and timely deliverables in the statutory and financial compliance space. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparing deliverables to support financial reporting needs, including statutory close support, analytics and supplementary financial analysis; Compile financial statement analytics recorded in EMEA. Monitor general ledger account balances, deep dive, explain fluctuations and understand underlying business events. Provide month end close analytics, for example for general ledger account balances or YoY movements as well as external audit support. Support corporate accounting and reporting teams across EMEA in preparing statutory financial statements; Maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes. Manage and lead balance sheet reviews with Senior Leadership. Collaborate with global Accounting and Finance Operations teams to resolve accounting issues and to improve processes.

Personality requirements and skills
University degree in business/economics/accounting; Minimum of 3+ years of experience with an emphasis on accounting; Experience with IFRS or US GAAP accounting and in the preparation of financial statements; Ability to work to tight deadlines on critical projects; Detail-oriented yet able to reflect on and understand the big picture; Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written; Advanced Excel skills. Preferred qualifications Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications; Experience in using SQL; Must be comfortable working with global and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced company.
