R&D HEAD
Job description
For our client, German production company specialized in the development and production of systems and components made of rubber, plastic, and metal for the automotive industry, we are looking for candidates for the position of Regional R&D Head. Job objectives *Disciplinary and functional leading of the development teams to ensure successful R&D contribution to company business plan Main responsibilities *Planning of Companys business plan together with Head of Business Unit (1. review); Regional R&D Head is responsible for SG&A *Mid-term (1-3 years) planning of RFQ projects considering running projects together with Sales (target projects, R&D capacities, etc.) *Highlight of capacity lacks to the management In alignment with Global Head of R&D, definition of standards and tools for R&D group, risk evaluation methods to avoid later customer complaints patent strategy for the region support innovation roadmap *Check of regional KPI and definition of countermeasures in case of deviations First point of contact for customer escalation Level 1; definition of countermeasures if escalation was R&D-related Risk analysis for incoming customer requirements and outgoing design concepts evaluating risks for the project definition of countermeasures (e.g. early prototyping, extended DVP etc.) Responsible for team development including regular performance interviews with development team leaders Regular communication with development team leaders to align development work Ongoing development of own professional skills regarding market trends, customer expectations and inhouse/supplier production processes Additional responsibilities Responsible for regional R&D cost centers Prepare monthly KPI reports for the own region Manage design software strategy Regional support to Innovation Roadmap – Contribution Support other regions
